I feel so sorry for anybody who had to endure that kind of torture just because of some religious nuts.  Reading that started making me feel sick, since I realize how horrible and traumatic that must have been.  I so sorry you had to go through that Cindi.  It just an elitist attitude that they'll make you feel bad about what you are until you start feeling good about what you are.  Seems counterproductive to me.

Wow Cindi, you've been to hell and back to be who you are. Thank you for sharing this.

Cindi,
I don't know what to say.  :'(

I found that I have been hold my breath through most of the story and have just released it.

I pray to the Deity, Cindi, that this modern day Josef Mengele is no longer "practicing" his vile "treatments.  Did this monster have a name for the things he was doing to you?  I'm sure he had a "theory" that he was trying to prove.  And he punished you because you wouldn't fit his ideas.  I read this installment early this morning.  I've been too upset to respond until now.

When I was writing an autobiography at the request of my therapist I was amazed at the pain that certain memories carried along with them and how potent the pain still was, even more than 30 years later, though they seem a ghost of a sensation beside what you have had to live with.  This makes me truly appreciate the work that you had to do to publish this horrific account.  That you have been able to overcome these experiences, which I think would have turned a lesser human being into psychosis or worse, is a true testament to your strength and humanity.  Thank you so much for sharing this.
