That New England colloquialism "Banned in Boston" in the early part of the last century used to apply to a range of prohibitions, from the outlawing of contraceptives to the prohibition of naughty stage plays that were acceptable in wicked Manhattan.
Now, what an absolutely enormous morality change has come about in the Peoples' Republic of Massachusetts – specifically, what has been publicly paraded in Northampton, home of Smith College. Smith is our nation's largest privately endowed college for women.
Despite the nationwide drive against single-sex colleges for males, Smith has been able to go on considering only female applicants for undergraduate admission. But Wikipedia reports that Smith will award diplomas to transgendered students who have become male since admission.
