I just finished watching an episode of Without a Trace. In this particular story, the missing person was a women who underwent a gender reassignment surgery. The woman at one point led a "normal" life of a male, complete with a wife and two kids. At first, the FBI agents and detectives thought the woman was a victim of a hate crime because of someone's disjointed and disgusted view of transsexuals.
