Man To Receive Honor

"MANCHESTER — - Robin P. McHaelen, founder of True Colors, a Manchester
organization that works with minority youth struggling with questions
of sexual identity, will receive a Human and Civil Rights Award from
the National Education Association Wednesday in Washington.
True Colors works with lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered young
people, provides training for social workers, helps parents of
sexual-minority children develop awareness, and recruits foster
parents for young people whose announcements of their sexual
orientation have caused their birth parents to bar the doors to them."
