"This is a picture of the participants in Thursday's historic
subcommittee hearing on transgender unemployment issues on Capitol
Hill. Can you detect what's wrong with it?

What's wrong with this picture is that with the exception of Diego
Sanchez, (second from the top) every other participant in it is white.
There are no African-American transgender people testifying at this
hearing.

Now, would you be happy if a historic hearing for transgender people
happened on The Hill and your people weren't represented?"

I would like everyone to be represented but we all can't be there in person. We have to trust those that are put in charge. There are some many different people out here that there is no way that all of us can be there in person. Now, if it is just the Black person who wants to be there then what about all the rest? I'm hoping the we are all represented in a fair and legal way. Being trans cuts through all racial, economical and social  lives and I might have forgotten a few more, like religion.
