In Gainesville, Florida, 30 pastors have joined together to fight city hall.
http://www.onenewsnow.com/Politics/Default.aspx?id=157868 The pastors are showing their ire by launching a petition drive to overturn an action by the city commission. Cane Davis is with Citizens for Good Public Policy (CGPP). "On January 28, they passed an ordinance that basically gives women and men the right to utilize the restrooms of the opposite sex," Davis explains.
The ordinance accommodates the transgendered population – meaning a man who believes himself to be a woman could use the women's restroom. Critics argues that rapists and child molesters who are faking ->-bleeped-<- could take advantage of the ordinance. Yet there are only 12 known transgendered individuals in the area. And the population of Gainesville? "Roughly around...120,000," Davis says.
