I'm a individual that believes no one should have to fight for any rights.

To me that society seems to not value LIFE period

What does anyone else think about this?

I'm not talking about entitlements, just the right to be yourself in any country that says it believes in freedom more than others that don't believe in freedom.

If you believe that life is unfair, then none of us should fight for any rights. That as a group we should not fight for LBGT rights then.

Life is unfair, and to prevail and survive you must struggle, fight, adapt, do what ever it takes, no just for you but for your kin...

America is the greatest country in the world, worth discovering it if you are not an American... not perfect but better than most...

Now, as far as rights, the only right you are own is the right to die, for the other rights you have to fight... nothing is given for free... not now, not in the past, and not in the future

Just my opinion !

America is a continent with many wonderful countries and even more marvelous people.  I have traveled a bit and still prefer to be right here.  It's a corny cliche but freedom isn't free.  People without rights have always worked hard to secure their liberty and equality.  We are another group marching with what feels like unstoppable momentum.  The solidarity of a group and the actions of just a few are all we need to keep this rock and roll moving on.

Mine too.

BTW, how many people have died to protect those rights or try to insure rights to freedom for other countries?

You really have to fight to keep your god given rights because tyranny and facism is just around the corner ready to take over and provide you with a list of thier rights.

A great country isn't decided by whether or not you have to fight for your rights.

But by whether fighting for them achieves something.

I have this in my country. but, my country is the size of A single American state. But fighting for rights has made a difference in states of America too. Some states not so much. So my GUESS is that whether America is a good place to live, depends on what kind of person you are and what state you live in.

I wont vote on the poll, because I cant :P But by the sounds of things here, they are starting to look up :) and progress is worth while :)

Depends on what you mean by "rights."  I keep seeing a lot of people demanding "rights' that have little to do with freedom and more to do with entitlements and such. Plus you have to figure if a particular "right" is something that could cause harm or infringe on another's "rights' and so on and so forth.

As do we all.

Ya... and ain't it funny how the privileged, the folks in power, keep insisting that their rights are "God-given."
Never bring an umbrella to a coyote fight.
