"A 19-year-old man convicted of shooting a cross-dressing man to death outside a night club was sentenced to life in prison today. Villazano had initially told police he shot the man, who lived as a transgender female under the name "Thalia," because he said Mosqueda made an unwanted sexual advance outside the Pasta Amore restaurant on North Nova Road. At trial, Villazano testified he fired a gun that night, because other people were shooting in the parking lot. But Villazano insisted he never pointed the weapon at Mosqueda."
