A PORTADOWN man who wore a red dress and wig while he held two bank
staff at gun-point has been jailed for 12 years for robbing a Dublin
bank of over £700,000.

Danny Hamill (49) appeared at Dublin Circuit Crown Court last
Thursday, where he pleaded guilty to threatening two female bank staff
and Gardai officers with a loaded pistol – after he and an accomplice
robbed a branch of the Allied Irish Bank in CruADVERTISEMENTmlin,
Dublin on June 3, 2006.
