Well, Sam. I'm in the same boat as you almost, except my time is coming near. I'll hopefully be seeing an ACTUAL therapist soon, after 5 or 6 months of trying to work with one. I even know his name. His profile is on my desk. Come Thursday I'll be setting up an appointment with him.

Hopefully you'll be in similar luck. Are you of age? It's hard when you're a minor, but sometimes harder when you're not. I am still dependent. I have to have my parents approve this wild goose chase to start it... I can't work in my condition. It isn't just dysphoria, but I have additional anxiety on top of it that a lot of transgendered people don't have (meaning, I am OCD and I have other anxiety disorders that have been diagnosed).

I thought turning 18 would take FOREVER. Then I turned 18 in March. I was like, "Wow. That wasn't long." Life is so short...

Hmm. You do sound pretty young.

I'll tell you one advantage of your age; the earlier you figure things out, the more serious the doctors take you. I came out a year ago and they think I'm making it up. They say I gotta wait a while before they'll take me seriously.
