Locked out of my profile

My actual screen name is simply elena, but I went to change my email on my profile and forgot that instead of @hotmail my actual new email addy was an @live extension.  I was confused since I went to the hotmail signup expecting a hotmail address, go figure.  So when I changed the email info I now have to verify through email, but there is no way I can do that since I put in the wrong extension.  Anyone here that can help?
