"I want to tell you that for the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community, there's no stronger representative in the State House than Dianne Wilkerson," said Solomon. "For our community we need to be careful because people make promises to us, like they do to so many of you, and then they go behind closed doors and sell us out. And there's one thing about Dianne Wilkerson that I can promise you is that she says the same thing when she's with you as she does behind the closed door, and that's the leadership that we need. Dianne delivers," said Solomon, noting Wilkerson's work to defeat an anti-gay marriage constitutional amendment last year and her current effort to repeal the 1913 law, which paid off on July 15, when the Senate voted to toss it out.
