The term 'ladyboy' is very popular in South East Asia and it refers to a transgender person. This can also mean an effeminate gay male. This term is very common in Thailand and it is of Thai origin. It is a direct translation of the Thai term 'Kathoey' which is used to refer male-to-female transgender person. This term is often confused with ->-bleeped-<-s. But, the term Kathoey or 'ladyboy' does not simply mean a ->-bleeped-<- but a transgender male.
