Extraordinary, and Not-so-much

I'd like to highlight several things this morning.  Some are decidedly Extraordinary, while others could have been, but not-so-much.

The first piece of news is the the group formerly known as the HBIGDA - now known as the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) - put out a statement today about the medical necessity of treatment for gender-related issues.  It follows closely on the heels of the extraodrinary policy statement a few weeks ago from the American Medical Association and is another critical piece of removing the barriers to care that so many of us face.

Another step forward. I'm starting to think we may make some headway.

Now, if we could only make some headway with one another in all of the divisive and nasty "I-don't-want-them-in-my-group-because-they-may-make-somebody-think-I'm-not-real" movements that seem to desire all of us to be placed in ever and ever smaller boxes.

I mean, isn't a box comprising 1%-2% of WORLD population not small enough already?

I mean, can I get some room for a bed in here please? And when the heck is the toilet gonna be available?!!
