What's so darned important about shoes?

OK Tino you got me beat with those jeans. I bet if you weren't feeling well enough to go to work one day, they'd go in for you. And yeah jeans can get smelly. It's usually the dog that makes mine smelly though. Nothing like the smell of wet dog emanating from your clothes.

I'm not metro by any stretch, but I have to wear suits for work. Usually I'll dry clean them when I spill something on them, which turns out to be often enough. Shirts, I can wear for a couple of days if I wear an undershirt. In the summer, it's usually only one day per wear though unless I've been in air conditioning all day. Sniff test works for me :)

Woah woah guys, there's JUST enough hair to gel now! Can't really style it persay, but the gel stays in!!! Ha ha, it's worth the effort.

And yeah... I guess we can be fun to bug... Amy's just laughing away as she's reading all of the replys. I blame this all on Pam and Amy, I needed to stop wearing boys clothes and they helped me out... now I like what they suggested and picked out for me way too much... it's out of control man!  :o

Well said Rafe. They don't have to be ripped, gross smelling, dirty jeans to be wearing them everyday (or every other day). Jeans don't tend to smell... except for my work jeans... ok, dirty DIRTY secret (some of the guys out there may find this gross to)...
I'm a landscaper and have a favorite pair of jeans that I wear for work. As a "luck"/ "superstition" thing I hadn't washed them for close to a year (until Amy finally told me to). They were just going to get dirty anyways!!!!!

Oh dear, how positively vile! All of you guys! A shirt is to be worn once, just once, and then it must be washed.  Jeans, maybe you could squeeze 2 or 3 days out of. Not that I actually do any laundry, mind you, but I see that it gets done.
Couldn't ignore this post, couldn't have anyone thinking that I smell bad - I am CLEAN and wear cologne and perfumed body lotion.
Someone should rename this thread - "Personal Grooming - or Lack thereof". Ghastly habits you guys have! But I have been cracking up reading the various opinions on proper laundering. :D

Like Tino and Rafe, I'm quite particular about my hair as well. Not as short as yours, Tino. It's just long enough, that I can take a curling iron to the ends, and I do use styling products - only I mix with water. I can't abide that "sticky feeling".

I have this thing about ALWAYS wearing an undershirt whether it's a beater or a white T shirt. Unless I'm wearing a white shirt then I'm not wearing one underneath, other than that, it's always on. I have quite a few of these and so I think that maybe that's why I don't need to wash my shirts as often. And I figure as long as you're wearing boxers or boxerbriefs your pants are good to go for awhile.

you curl your hair nero?

Apparently so. And I don't think we're all filthy... we just have different priorities. I do change my shirt pretty much every day, but I'll go with Tino here... I wear boxer briefs (at least until I go back to the prison that is my folks' house) every day, and I think changing those every day suffices... I can keep wearing the jeans. I do my laundry, just not as often as maybe I should, and that's for merely financial reasons.

Gotta echo Tino, though: You curl your hair?

Not metro, but I do take pride in my appearance.
Yes, I curl my hair. I won't leave the house until I've done that.

I wear an undershirt if it's a button-up shirt, but not if it's a polo or T shirt. Especially in this weather.

I hope you guys know I was teasing. I don't care whether you're dirty or not.

It's all good, Nero... and we don't take offense at your curly hair LOL. To each his (or her) own. I'd straighten mine if I could, but since I can't, I keep it as short as possible.

We have comfy feet, unlike the feet in those medieval torture devices known as women's shoes.

I like earth shoes.  They're very comfortable.  Plus, we can wear men's shoes if we want.  :icon_eyebrow:  You guys, however, are limited in your choices.  ;D

Happy feet, happy trees... I think we're getting into PBS now, and I never thought my little inquiry would spur such an uprising! Grow, little topic! Be free! Oh, and my feet are quite happy in my Nikes... and I just got rid of 4 pair of shoes, bringing the grand total down to 3 (I found a couple more pairs of old ones). I feel special  8)

Okay, not metrosexual, but I must admit I know differences between jeans... dark or light, right? All I know is I go for the ones with big pockets, because I abhor carrying a bag (man purse, anyone?), and they have to be baggy. So I suppose you're right, Melissa; if I had a million pairs of jeans, they probably would look a lot alike. It'd still be worth it, though. However, despite my lack of variety in shoes and jeans, I realized today, while going through my stuff to pack for my move, that I must have over 100 T-shirts. How's that for sad? And I complained about shoes... LOL
