A most excellent day it was. I've been looking for a suitable sleeping-off-the-ground-mobile for my gf and I to go camping in for about a year. Everything was above my price range. Until yesterday, on Craigslist, I saw a Boler trailer advertised that was within my range. It was owned by a lovely young woman who's going to Thailand and who has obviously taken care of it. Plus I could afford it. So my buddy Johnny helped me take it home last night. Here's a pic of it:
Then I went to get a trailer hitch put on my car. Been looking for a truck for a couple of weeks but nothing piqued my interest that I could afford. At the place I went to get my hitch, I fell in love with a truck and, while I was arranging financing, my mother offered to finance it interest free. It's a beaut. 1998 GMC Sonoma, 4X4, A/C and all toys, they threw a towing package in too, and gave me a decent trade in on my old car:
And if I sell my bike, I'll have half the loan paid off. That's my project for this weekend, get the bike fixed up and sell it. And clean the trailer out, cause it's been in storage for a year.
Plus, my gf came by my office and dropped off my dream tackle box, filled with fishing gear. My barber gave me a free haircut and a beer. It's just been an excellent day.
