The Washington Blade is reporting that Vandy Beth Glenn, a transgender woman, is pursuing a federal lawsuit against officials at the Georgia General Assembly, who, she said, wrongly fired her.

Glenn began working for the Georgia General Assembly in 2005 as a legislative editor. She was also diagnosed with gender identity disorder, which is defined as discomfort with one's sex at birth and identification with the opposite gender, that same year.
