Can I call you "Nate?"
Lol, for a while I considered the name Nathaniel. But it just didn't fit me.
I like the names Nathan and Nathaniel. Part of the reason I picked Jonathan. I can go by Nate later if I want (when I move) when people don't know me by my female J name.
Jay that is so cool XD I actually knew a guy named Jonathan who made me begin to question who I am, and I will always be grateful to him for it cause I'm so much happier with myself now. I picked Nathaniel partially because of him, and partially because I love it and it fits me. I'm fine with being called Nate or Nathan though, I know people can get lazy

I think it's awesome that you're picking 'out of the box' nicknames for Jonathan too.

Yeah. I think I have been doing RLE for a long time, minus using the name/pronouns.
My mom is VERY confused...
XD Most moms would be. When I told my mom I was cutting my hair, she was all "oh are you going to go natural and do a fro (I HATE FROS on me) like your cousin?" The question made me sick to my stomach cause I don't want to look like her at all. People still swear to god that I'm her shadow, just because I looked up to her when I was younger. No, I don't want a feminine fro, I want to look like a boy. But try explaining that to a mom

Moms are always confused, and have to think you're doing something like someone else to help them put the pieces together instead of just figuring you're trying to be yourself.
I guess my mom's question came from right field because I forgot my cousin chopped all her hair off this summer and grew a fro. No, I'm probably never going to have a fro mom and I didn't cut my hair the same summer because of her.
