Parents and Friends of ExGays & Gays (PFOX) provides support for parents and friends of former homosexuals, also referred to as ex-"gays." Spokeswoman Regina Griggs believes schools should not be party to the homosexual propaganda campaign.

"Children should never be told to identify themselves as heterosexual, gay, bi-sexual, transgender," Griggs contends. "Kids change as they mature and they go through puberty. Lots of questions that need answers come up."

Odd how children wish to 'spread" their identities. Your comment on the link, Syne, I found particularly to the point. My youngest son consistently asks "What kind of people are we? You & Cat go to Quaker meetings, the UU church, and the witch meetings." Am I any of those too?"

As he asks we discuss things. hahahaha Right now he's much taken with Greek myths and their heroes and sheroes. The one thing that was always stressed earlier: it matters not what church or any church, it's what's in your heart that's important. Care and respect for other people and wanting to be ok with whatever they feel, even if it seems to be hatred.

He seems to have gotten that last bit rather well.

I SOMEWHAT agree with this. Puberty makes MAJOR changes, so a child should not be given hormones before then. I do think, however, hormone blockers are okay, as they only hold back the physical changes. They do not make permanent change that cannot be undone that the kid may later regret. Life is long enough that I think people should really get over waiting. I'm 18, I had to wait until I was 18 to get started, and frankly, I think under 18 is too young... And yes, I know what it's like to be young and want to transition. But I wouldn't have been ready to have T shot into my veins. I don't think very many young people are ready. They all say, "I'm not like you," and "Well, I'm the exception." But they don't realize that's what everyone says, and not everyone can be the exception.

However, a young child should be allowed to express their sexuality and gender identity.
