Couples wholly affirmed in a holy place

The couples, who have collectively been together for 108 years and have 11 children and two grandchildren among them, celebrated their nuptials in a synagogue that has historically been gay-friendly, but decided as a congregation about a decade ago to be "wholly affirming" of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, according to Sandy Bredt, the synagogue's executive director.
