Overall my experience has been similarly positive, until recently.  I had to change my name on some land documents and had to notarize some papers under my F name.  All was fine and funny until she read the court ordered name change.  I thought hell froze over in that room.  I hurried up and finished my business and hightailed it out of there.

Sucks.

This reminds me of when I went into Kinko's to get a gender change letter notarized. The clerk read it and literally smirked.  Ouch. I felt like ten cents and left quickly.

Maggie-- just wanted to say that I'm glad you got your hair fixed.  I know how stressful the wrong hairstyle can be!!!!

There happens to be a salon near me, where the owner was a lead hair dresser at this past Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.  He gives AMAZING haircuts.  I can't afford them (hundreds), but they have a model program.  Basically, you get a trainee that is supervised by a master stylist.  Takes a couple hours.  First time I went, my master stylist was the owner!  Anyway, I have been back a couple times and get nothing but amazing cuts.

They treat me super nice, are very friendly.

I have had my fair share of really bad cuts though.  When I was still getting male haircuts, I went to supercuts a couple times.  My haircuts were not that great, some were downright bad.

Even though I am not paying for my cuts, sometimes the best place is the most expensive.
