As her shot put career ended, she continued to feel the aftermath of her steroid use. As she told CNN, "I felt much more attracted to women and just felt like a man. But I knew I was not a lesbian."

Confused, and feeling she had been left with all the traits of a man except for one important biological trait, in 1997, Heidi had sexual reassignment surgery and became Andreas Krieger.

yeah right. If taking steroids had anything to do with gender identity, they'd be trying to dose us with them to swap us back.

They used to do that.  It didn't work.
"Anyone who attempts to play the 'real transsexual' card should be summarily dismissed, as they are merely engaging in name calling rather than serious debate."

I think his identity was maybe fragile, but that tipped it.

From puberty they gave her massive amount of steroids
and she basically devellopped like a man.
She got HUGE, large big bones, very manly face, tall, large muscles,

Everybody from that point thought she was a man, or a freak
if she tried to be like other women.

That must really mess you up after awhile.

If she wanted to live as a women, she'd have to have extensive FFS
and since he's so huge, both in height and overall size, even that
may not help.

The east german basically gave a male phenotype to tons of east-german athletes.
A kind of forced gender change!! That's how sick they were.
