hey ppl, just thought id introduce myself.
So call me Kate, im 22 and transitioning for two or three years now (gawd) and im also a film student (currently trying to make a short doco on transmen... its a bit shaky at themo). ive been on this site a few times under different names at different times but ive joined up again because im at the point now when im trying to get to the point for the final surgery.... its daunting... since no one in my current home country (new zealand) does the surgery id have to go overseas, most likely alone.

alone in a foreign country getting a major medical operation... not fun not fun.

so thats where i am right now, just finding out what i can,

spent a little time traveling in your country....
been a dream ever since to return with a
more permanent option as resident maybe.....

so many many aspects to the reality of the trans world
are becoming evident to me as i navigate the boards on
this forum, and your situation of having to travel abroad
and possibly face the aspects of surgery and recovery
unsupported is beyond daunting to my thinking.....

glad you have come aboard and hope you find some of
the support you are so very entitled to ....
