Out of all the troubled life stories aired on the Fringe, Bethany
Black's is surely the most mind-blowing. She has had gender identity
issues since the age of three and in her teens she tried to commit
suicide. Somewhere along the line, there was an abortion. And up until
the age of 22, she was a man.
