Any discussion of gender must begin inevitably with a definition of what is being discussed. So what is gender?

Let's start with what gender isn't at least for the purposes of this text, and that is a direct substitute for 'biological sex'. The type of gender  I am discussing is not the type you are asked to provide on an official form, (male or female) which is actually your biological sex. Biological sex is in fact not easily divisible into two, as about 1% of the population do not fit exactly into the categories of 'male' or 'female'. But officialdom chooses to ignore this, as it likes to deal in lies, as we will see later.
