Ian said he is surprised by the outrage over his comments - and has
subsequently reviewed the interview time and time again with his
employer, friends (including trans folks), and family - and doesn't
understand what it was exactly that he said to have caused so much
anger and sincerely did not mean to offend anyone. And I believe he's
being genuine.
