Howdy everyone!

I somehow lucked out and came across this site while looking to see what resources were out there for people to embrace androgyny.

Quick background, I spent some time in college debating full gender change, but didn't like the thought of being a 6'3" monster woman either, so I put it on the backburner.  Played with gender looks off and on for a while, in less blatant ways (nail polish has been my big thing to "show off"), eventually put all of it on the back burner because it seemed to make dating so difficult.  Fast forward about a decade and now I've found someone who likes the androgyny, and I've been pushing the boundaries. I'm not looking to try to "pass" as a woman, although it would be fun if I could, but really trying to find that balance in between, and in a way that I can work on a day-to-day basis.

I happened across Kate Bornstein's classic "Gender Outlaw" in a bookstore one day a few months ago, and I loved it; I was intrigued by the essay she had about how gender shouldn't necessarily be binary.  I think back to how much I loved the 80's and the androgynous look that was popular back then...  Seems like it's time for a revival.

It's been difficult finding good resources around this, though.  A lot of data is out there for guys who want to pass for women, women who want to pass for men, and the campy drag versions of both.  But not a lot of content out there for really blending genders.

Off to go read the backlog of forum messages already posted...  I'm excited to have found this place, hope to have some good conversations in the future!  :)

Hi CryoMax, welcome to Susan's. Yes there are a few Androgynes around her on a few different threads. Pretty well all of the androgyne folks I have met here are very nice folks and pray you have the opportunity to share with them, as I am sure you will.

Well I guess my Royal shortness passes that test OK. I don't even have to use the door, I can just use the doggie door. "Hee, hee, hee." Yep there is a comedian or two around about.
