Go to the link below to see the two stages being used at the political conventions.  I think the posters were right in thinking that the Dems is a bit too 'show biz' too American Idol, but they missed the obvious point that the Repub one looks like something out of modern Nuremberg or some star chamber trial.

But go to the link and look at them and get back to me.

It looks like the RNC stage was designed by someone with OCD and the DNC stage looks like it was thought up by the chief designer for Cirque du Soliel or some Rock promotor.  What time does "The Who" perform?

i'm learning to love american politics - yours have so much showbiz. Our conventions take place with soggy sandwiches in a run down hotel by the sea.

The food at ours isn't all that great either, just standard buffet style fare... and expensive.

But you can bet the booze will be top of the line (even if Teddy isn't there).

As someone who has friends who lost almost all of their family to the Nazis, I grow tired and pretty ticked off every time someone uses the Nazi label for their own political ends/ without merit.

When they start rounding up welfare recipients to work in factories, talk of useless eaters, work their supporters up so much that they go out and physically attack liberals, remove any means of self protection from the masses, and require public identification tags be placed onto all clothing call me. I am one hell of a shot.

but they are not doing that.

they are comparing the straight clean lines and prominent flag of the republican stage with the similar qualities in albert speer's designs for the third reich.

this isn't even nearly a discussion of policies - it's a discussion of aesthetics.

as someone who tries to read a thread before answering, i grow tired and pretty ticked off every time someone doesn't.
and i say this as someone who is living with a holocaust survivor.
