65% -- that's the percentage of American voters who would support an openly gay presidential candidate, according to a new nationwide poll from Zogby International for the Gay & Lesbian Leadership Institute (GLLI). The numbers are even higher as you go down the political food chain. See below.

This is good news for Jared Polis, who last week won the Democratic primary in Colorado to represent his Congressional district.  If elected in November, he would become the first non-incumbent, openly gay man ever elected to Congress.
