You mean...McCain is transitioning?!? Wowwwww, hot dog! I hope Cindy can handle it!  :D

Yes, from a banal evil to a much more aggressive one.

Would I have voted for Hillary for what was between her legs? Maybe not, but for her heart and her intelligence and her experience of life in the USA as a woman I did vote for her.

Obama is, well, who really knows? Hard to say who he is. He talks a good game sometimes but now he seems to be using that tired and false Demo strategy that worked fine in 1992 & 1996, but hasn't since: move to the right to appeal to conservatives/independents.

Still and all better to cast my vote for Obama than for McCain. I would imagine I couldn't stomach myself if I voted for Johnney-boy. We know where he stands on women, gender, sexuality, abortion-rights, warfare, torture, energy, the economy (remember the Keating Five? He was one.) Lobbyists, legal rights for all Americans, immigration and the man cannot even recall he owns five homes!!

O, come on, even yesterday's leftovers would be a better president!

What if they held an election and nobody came?

Then we'd likely get a continuation of the corporate regime that we've had.

I strongly disagree.  American corporations wield the power they do because the American public eagerly votes for politicians who wholeheartedly believe in state-corporatism - the more collectivist and regulated, the better.  After all, how often do you see big business getting together to actually, seriously challenge the idea of state regulation?  No, mega-corps love regulation; they can't exist without it.  It's their sword and shield for combating smaller competitors - actual free-market businesses - as well as each other.

Look at the Microsoft anti-trust case - a clear example of competitors getting pissed off about someone's unwillingness to play ball.  And check out MS's market share after the case - it's much higher than Standard Oil's market share ever was.  These laws aren't about reigning in abusive businesses, or even limiting market share; they're about stifling competition and cartelizing industry.

To me, it looks like Americans are steadily voting into existence a system where ordinary businessmen have no rights at all, and the state-capitalists are warring feudal lords in all but name.  Worse, this is being sold to us under the guise of protecting us from big business.

This state of affairs is sustained by the public's support of the state, most directly in the form of the SEC, FCC, FDA, EPA, and other captured regulatory agencies.  Not to mention the Federal Reserve Bank (which is most definitely an arm of the government).  If people just began to disregard the state en masse, what would it do?  Throw everyone into prison?  How would that look?  Not to mention, who'd pay the salaries of the police, armed forces, IRS agents, and other enforcers?  It'd do nothing but collapse the government.  Civil disobedience FTW!

Correction, McCain owns 7 homes. I knew that and I don't even follow up that much in Canadian politics let alone US politics. And as for the corporations that is who actually runs the American and Canadian government and probably a good deal of the entire planet's politics. Some call these the cabals.

If Obama is going to pull the troops out of Iraq, I would be voting for him toot-sweet.
I watch the american news, CBS, and it is heartbreaking at the end of each programme when they show the faces of the young men and women who die every day in this damn war!!!  It really breaks my heart.  The average age is 21 yrs old!!!  Of course, it goes without saying that double that are Iraqi deaths also which we don't see.
I can't believe people are not taking to the streets every single week to end this bloodshed, it is such a shame.  :'(    :'(

Polls say 21% of Hilary supporters will vote for McCain. The reason? Most are women who wanted to vote for a women regardless of her views.

Oh yeah, he's probably been lurking here for months!  I'm sure he reads our stories of transition with great enthusiasm.

It'll probably come out in the news any day now, considering that he doesn't have a clue about computers, he probably has one of his aids get to the site for him.  And if/when they talk...

Then he could change his name on the ticket to Johnnie McBush.

-Sandy(I still wouldn't vote republican, though)

Okay okay so the games up yes im McCain, yes ive been lurking for like forever and im going to transition folks, if you play my campaign song backwards is actually says LGBT forever!!!

Now if only i could lose homeland security for like an hour i have a lovely pair of new heels to try on....Step on it Cindy.

Hi Vanna
Cindy puts on heels, throws mop over shoulder, bucket still hanging over the end of it, stands erect and salutes and says, Aye, aye, Ma'am. Then the all hands on deck whistle blows and all the other ladies stand at a attention and salute holding their own mops over their shoulder.

It seems McCain thinks so. It is the mentality of the American voter. They have no ability to make rational choices based on fact. They go with the hype.

Its true, America is notorious for going with what looks good and not what is good for them.

Hi! Just wanted to let you all know I missed you all, "Big hugs!" I couldn't get the posts to refresh for the last three days, I was already getting withdrawal symptoms. you know how that goes, first to go bug eyed and then you get those little spirals in your eyeballs and your skin goes red white and blue, or is that politicians syndrome. The Andromeda Strain
