This weekend, the Human Rights Campaign, the nation's largest gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization, hailed the presumptive Democratic nominee, Sen. Barack Obama's selection of Sen. Joe Biden as his Vice Presidential running mate.

During his career in Congress, Sen. Biden has a proven record of fighting for and supporting issues of fairness and equality.
