I just got back from my first hour of thermolysis. First thing when I got there and lay down on the table, the technician (the owner of the business, actually) put a good thick coat of Emla on my top lip. Then she proceeded to start whacking hairs elsewhere, first on my right side, then to the chin, then up to the left side, then a bit on the neck, and then to the area below my mouth. Finally, when the Emla had kicked in at least a bit, she did my upper lip.
