I  don't see GLBTQ youth mentioned anywhere in Juvenile Justice in America. In my experience, along with young women, queer youth are the other big status offenders. Queer youth have no or very limited safe social spaces. They end up partying and gathering in unpermitted places like piers, fields, woods, abandoned buildings, vacant lots etc because of the danger and unfeasibility of gathering in sanctioned youth spaces such as school dances.
