Hair loss caused by spiro or estrodiol?

There is zero history of male hair loss in my family and I've always been told by stylists that my hair was obviously so thick that I wasn't ever going to have to worry about balding.

But I've noticed that I shed a LOT of hair in the shower every morning, and, although it may be a figment of my imagination, I think the hair at the front of my head may be getting thinner.

I've been on HRT (estrodiol and spiro) for about 9 months, could that be causing this?

I have noticed the opposite. I have new hair growth! You shed up to a 100 hairs daily and that is normal. You might just be noticing them more because they are longer and now you are looking for them. Have you ever seen a GG womans hairbrush?

I've been on Estradiol for 4 years and Spiro only 10 months. I noticed the new hair growth a couple of years ago. They started as almost vellus hair, I called it baby hair and as time went by they got stronger, darker and thicker and then more appeared. I was really worried that I was losing it but I looked at before and after pics and my hairline has really filled in a lot. This may or may not be typical but it is what happend to me.

Well, if 100 hairs a day is normal, then I think I'm ok. And if I'm not losing hair then you may be right, the area I'm afraid may be thinning out could actually be a new area filling in. I'm going to start taking pictures to track progress.

I know nothing about it being caused by hormones, but that can definitely happen from severely undereating/getting little nutrition.

DHT causes your hair loss
so the best thing you can do is block it
the solution is called avodart.(dutasterine)

i hear many friends having hair loss problem( i had huge problem my self)started by the age of 21!!!

estradiol is great for hair growth(cause it prolongs the anagen phase of the hair) so it makes it stay longer in your hair
however, estradiol is easily converted to DHT( many doctors claim that and i find it very true) Some doctors say that estradiol converts to DHT more easily than testosterone does( i find hard to believe but ok)
so fluctuations of estradiol in our system( and we ts do not have a steady amount of estrogens( maybe we reach there by time) but until then our system is a bomb full of estrogen trying to reach feminization
so we must regulate estradiol.this is called estrogen dominance and it causes hair loss
we take hormones and we must be aware of estrogen dominance
so the 2nd very good solution is progesterone
progesteron will keep your estradiol regulated to safe levels.there won;t be any dominance causing hair loss( by converting excess estrogen to dht)

that is my doc's theory and my personal experience(my hair is safe now) tells me to do the same.

yup Avodart all the way!

my hair was thinning horribly but i stopped it dead (go Keira go). i will still need transplants to get the hair i want as a fully transformed female but avodart (Dutasteride) is your best defense.

Avodart btw is the official version, Dutasteride or Duprost ect is a much much cheaper generic alternative just google as there are many appearing lately.
