Finding Mountain State Values at the Democratic Convention

And, here's a list of events I'm sure were poorly attended by members of the West Virginia delegation. This is a sample of hundreds that probably hold no interest for the typical voter here. For example, I can't imagine longtime state Sen. Shirley Love being super-comfortable at any of the following breakout sessions:
Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual Transgender Unity Dance 2008
Funk The War Dance Party
Make Out Not War: Women's Voices for Peace Concert
Reducing Demand: Green For All
There seemed to be a lot of people there committed to reducing demand for all economic goods, best as I could tell. It's a pretty disparate group of folks who have the keys to the Democratic car this year. And most of the committee of folks riding in that car are the ones who have spent the past 40 years preferring to be right rather than win.
I can't wait to see how this turns out nationally. But understand that to most West Virginia Dems, the leadership of the party nationally seems to have few of the same concerns.
