Hello all,

I was trying to get a hold of one therapist, which fell through. She had too many MediCAL patients apparently.

So she gave me a number to the LBGT center in San Diego, which redirected me to their health center, which didn't get me anything but a bad signal.

So I really need help, are there any good sympathetic therapists in San Diego (Preferably east county) That you know of? I'm worried that I might have to see a generic therapist with no experience in the field, and having things not go well.

Thank you all for your time!

Try emailing the LGBT center in SD if the phone signal is no good.  Alternatively, I'm sure that there's an LGBT resource center at either UCSD or or one of the other universities in the SD area.  They might have some therapists to refer you to, or be able to at least refer you to support groups where you can get personal recommendations from other people in your area.  You might also try googling transgender or transsexual therapist San Diego or whatever city you live in.

I would definitely not recommend going to a general therapist.  They'll either not know enough to help you in which case you're just wasting time and money, or they're going to try and help but since they don't have enough experience, you might end up getting really bad advice.

Good luck!

Hi.  Have you tried Patricia Wojdowski in San Diego?  I haven't been in San Diego for 15 years, but she was great.  She has a website here:

Hope this helps.
