74-year-old robbed by transvestite purse snatchers

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL -- Three cross-dressing males accosted and robbed a 74-year-old woman in a Sears parking lot Tuesday according to Port St. Lucie Police.

The woman, Gloria Fournier, said that she first noticed her attackers while shopping at an outlet store prior to going to Sears.  Fournier thinks that her attackers may have followed her to Sears, according to a police report.

As Fournier walked to her car in the Sears parking lot, she was approached by "what initially appeared to be a black female, but later was suspected as being a black male dressed as a woman, possibly a transvestite," according to Port St. Lucie officer Timothy Sanders.
