The ball is now officially rolling with my name change process!!  :icon_dance: Today is also the 13th month anniversary of when I received my HRT letter. Today was a great day, but an even better one is on it's way.   :icon_mrhappy:

Congratulations, hon', it's a big step and a sure sign of progress.  I know that patience is often needed at a time when for so many of us patience is wearing thin and that this is a time when patience has been rewarded.  Good for you!

tight hugs & big smiles

That's great, Laura, a name change is so empowering.

Still, maybe you should reconsider. "Laura" is a great name already, why would you want something else?

(just kidding)

Congratulations Laura,

I remember well getting my name change, it felt so realy good when I finally got all my ID,s and birth certificate changed. I would look at it, and it was hard to believe at the first. I sure like how I look on my drivers license now 8 years later.

Congrats on the name change.  I know when I got mine finally done it was a wonderful day for me.  Even though the judge did not approve all of the things I wanted such as a gender marker change.  Still having my name change I felt was a very liberating feeling.  Congrats again :)

My first legal notice was published today. I can not believe that I have reached this point. I remember watching some documentary on A&E or maybe it was the discovery channel about transsexualism and there was this one girl that was getting the newspaper to check out her notice and I remember that huge grin on her face when she saw it. She said "that's my name!!" and was so excited, and I remember watching that and thinking to myself "that will never be me". But now here it is two years later and here I am. WOOOOOOW  ;D

Laura,

Congrats on the name change!  It feels great, doesn't it?

If you think this feels good, wait until you get your driver's license with your new name & gender!
