It's great that the challenge to this law was overturned, but it's still disappointing that it was overturned because of improperly obtained signatures and not because the rights of anyone shouldn't be up to a popular vote. I do think it's sad that we have to take such a piecemeal approach at protecting rights... It seems ridiculous that we have to say that women can't be discriminated against gender, then that people can't be discriminated against by race, then gays can't be discriminated against due to their sexual orientation, then trans can't be discriminated against due to gender identity... Can't we have one big law that says discrimination is illegal?
