Discrimination against transgender people is still commonplace in many
work environments, but more so in highly political government security
related fields. Diane Schroer, is suing the Library of Congress
for not getting an assignment because she had transitioned. The job
was to support to run a new anti-terrorism organization.

Then absolutely. I mean, people might not want to admit transgender, but it's a fact, folks, we are.

No, it doesn't cover sexual orientation or identity. That's what all the other laws are or are being proposed. It's interesting that former Senator Bill Bradley (and 2000 Presidential candidate) has long proposed amending the Civil Rights Act for these classes of people than creating new laws. He has said the Civil Rights Act affords far more rights and protections now covering sex, race, ethnicity or religion. It would make all things equal, and what the LGBT community should be working than other laws the opposition can claim give special rights and protections, which a false and wrong, but politically expedient.

Bradley is correct in this, adding it to existing law gives it the past case law to lean on.
