Murdering gays as state policy

In Iran and Iraq, gays face murderous governments that harken back to
the Holocaust of Nazi Germany.

It is a bizarre -- and horrifying -- turn of events.

Americans will recall the address by Iran's President Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad at Columbia University earlier this year.

Asked about repressive treatment of women and minorities in Iran he
answered: "Women in Iran enjoy the highest levels of freedom."

He brought laughter and jeers from the audience when he added:

"In Iran, we don't have homosexuals, like in your country."
