Previously, in Horrors in the Closet: A Closet Full of Monsters, we
analyzed the literary origins of the four archetypes of horror
culture, Frankenstein, Dracula, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and Dorian
Gray. And in Horrors in the Closet: Horrifying Heteronormative
