McCain's gay Q&A

http://www.washingtonblade.com/thelatest/thelatest.cfm?blog_id=21367
10/1/2008

Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) told the
Blade in an exclusive written interview this week that he appreciates
the Log Cabin Republicans' decision to endorse him, and he hopes "gay
and lesbian Americans will give full consideration to supporting me."

McCain's decision to answer questions submitted to him in writing
marks the first known time a Republican presidential nominee has
agreed to an interview with a gay publication.

it is good he at least read the questions. And answered them. It'd be better if he could face them live.

imo, our issues will get swept under the rug, and from what i read about Mccain, everything will be left up to the states, he'll probably die before his first term was over anyway. not to trying to sound mean, just a very good prediction.

I think leaving things to the states is a good idea, but I'm still not voting Republican.  To them, "states' rights" is code for "let's roll back civil liberties, without appearing like that's what we're doing".

I agree. I wish my state would stop taking federal dollar, tell the federal government to go to hell, and then quit the country.

I am against all nationalism.

It is time to recreate this world.

I wish my state (NY) would secede and join up with Canada.  I don't think the Canadians would be pleased at that, though.

Nor would Obama or McCain, and whoever won the presidency, he'd have lots of bombs on his side.

You can annex it on the way.
