Gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender TV roles

The most prominent gay, bisexual and transgender characters on network television this season:

"Bones'' (Fox): Angela Montenegro (Michaela Conlin) — one of Jeffersonian's top analysts and Bones' best friend — is bisexual.

"Brothers & Sisters'' (ABC): This series probably has more gay characters than any onTV, including two leads: Kevin Walker (Matthew Rhys) and Saul Holden (Ron Rifkin). Last season, Kevin married his partner, Scotty Wandell (Luke Macfarlane).

"Desperate Housewives'' (ABC): There's Andrew Van De Kamp (Shawn Pyfrom), Bree's son, and neighbors Lee and Bob (Kevin Rahm and Tuc Watkins).
