Am I insane? Possibly, but that is irrelevant to this post.

Since I've been researching ->-bleeped-<-, I've noticed that the people in all the photos I see of transgendered people, MTF and FTM, pre and post operation, have seriously beautiful eyes. I wonder if it is from knowing one's self so well? Or, maybe it's because our soul's are so rich that the excess spills out through our eyes.

My own eyes are one of the few attributes I've never hated about myself.

Weird, or fact?

Insane?  No..you're right.  All of us have beautiful eyes regardless of the color or shape, but also, if you look at an old photograph of a transsexual person (especially a childhood picture), you'll also notice that all of us share the same eyes.

Not only did I just now understand the metaphor. I feel it is true.

My eyes definitely changed from when I first started transition.  I thought it was hormones, but it's quite possible that Tink's explanation is correct.

I noticed a short while after i had begun my transition, that I really liked -
no, actually,  I finally fell in love with my own eyes for the very first time on my life -
Being able to really accentuate them in any way made me notice them, more than ever before in my life, and i had never really liked my eyes very much before then... i had always thought that they were rather plain and unspectacular -

I'd also like to say that i agree with all said, and believe that we all share the same beauty in all of it's various forms - and to comment further on what was said about people that have become more self-realized having something to do with it  -  I would so deeply agree, and i think that once we begin to really learn to love, accept, and acknowledge ourselves, that we are then able to so much more deeply appreciate and acknowledge the beauty contained in all others, and in all of life that we can witness or experience, in any way, shape, or form...

Lovingly always,

Everyone has allways said I had beautiful eyes..... theyr technicaly hazle but they shift from gold to green and everything inbetween......

When I first started hrt my at the time fience noticed they started to shift towards blue and grey too... so we thought it was the hormones..... but even after being off them 6 months my eyes still shifted in those shades  :)

I hate my height, my jawline, that ridge at my brow..... but Ive allways loved my eyes.....

Your not crazy....... I think your right and should maby even research it further...

Another thing that terrifies me about HRT. I've heard this one before and I hope it's not true.
I don't want to lose my individuality. I don't want to lose characteristics I was born with, especially things like eye color or hair color. This whole thing is so scary. I don't want to turn into someone else. :(

That is strange, Nero, because, I want to turn into everyone else and I want everyone else to turn into me.

Yeah, I guess I'm just a bit unconventional that way.

I remember before even starting HRT my ex said that my eyes looked different.  Like I looked more alive.  That's why I tend to agree that it wasn't completely the HRT.\

I was going to say Everyones Eyes are buitiful.... NO realy !
but then I remembered a fella with a eye that was dammaged in an auto axident... but the other one was purdy ! ... then I remembered the picture of a person I saw that their mind was gone because of an overdose of LSD... its eyes were like dead pools no sparkel and no depth, the stright jacket had much meaning in its carefill tightness.
So i suppose not all eyes are purdy.... but MOST OF THEM ARE !!!!!! <grin>

An ex of mine used to say that the eyes are windows to the soul.... I know its an old saying but It's one that has an honest grain of truth to it. Some have beautiful eyes and sould and some have only selfishness or hate in their souls and when you look in their eyes .. they're always dull or shallow....

I think its because we react to the world with our eyes, a lot of the visual clues that we give to people are done with the eyes.. so those who aren't happy, worried, depressed and afraid their eyes tend to be looking away or squinted ..... while those who are happy or content tend to look around, be bright eyed, and make eye contact.....

I've noticed in my own pictures.. most of my "bad" ones I'm all squinty and in the good ones I'm bright eyed...

Hey There:

Stress takes it's toll on us both physically and mentally.  After living with years of stress it is no wonder our eyes look tired and just have no life, because that is how we feel internally.  Once we are able to let go of the stress, we do become alive again.  We can see life in it's glory and it's colour.  So yes once the stress leaves us our eyes are able to see beauty again, so our eyes become more beautiful.  Corny I know, but I do believe it.
