Trachea shave...

I've recently been thinkin on getting my trachea shaved down but have no idea how much it is, how safe it is, or anything like that..if anyone has gone though this and has anything to say about it replie's would greatly apperciated

Hi Matilyn,

I had a Tracheal shave as part of my FFS in 2001.

It was something that bothered me, although my Adams apple was not large or to prominent. It is now non-existent and I have a (now indistiguishable) scar on my neck.

There is always danger in any surgery and with the tracheal shave,being over aggressive there is a chance of damaging the vocal chords.
