Hi,

I don't have much of a beard at the moment but I was wondering how I could delay, or slow it's growth into proper stubbles.

I think not shaving would help keepeing the chin soft but does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

depilatory powders or creams seem like your best bet to me.  dont tell anyone... but my MOM uses them on HER MOUSTACHE!  haha

Sorry, but I've never tested any creams/powders, so I can only tell you what I do.
I shave it every evening...
So the skin can "relax" over the night. And normally the first signs of my beard starts to show around 7 p.m the next day (Just little dark dots... you can barely see them).
But I've not started going out as a woman until now... I guess makeup would fix that ...
And also I'm pretty young... so the growning speed might increase (I hope not >.<).
Even though I shave, my skin is, well ... soft (Can't feel anything when touching it). I use skin cream when I go to bed. :) This might also help smoothening your skin.
Next step would be laser hair removal i think... but that's not a topic for me now. ^^

Good luck with (or better without) your beard!

Not shaving won't do a thing. It'll keep your chin soft ... because you'll have a soft beard.

The only way available right now to prevent devlopment is to get on hormones. Your profile says you're 17, so you should be able to do this soon. If you're not ready for hormones, you could start getting electrolysis to catch new hair growth as it develops, which would probably be quite a bit less stressful and painful than waiting a few year until you have lots of dense growth.

Yeah, what she said. The sooner you catch it and forestall it from increasing, the better. Don't wait!

you may as well have some pride
