Former McCain Supporter: McCain Is "Unleashing the Monster of American Prejudice"
By Amy Goodman, Democracy Now!. Posted October 13, 2008.

Lifelong Republican Frank Schaeffer says McCain is "deliberately feeding the most unhinged elements of our society the red meat of hate."

"John McCain: If your campaign does not stop equating Sen. Barack Obama with terrorism, questioning his patriotism and portraying Mr. Obama as 'not one of us,' I accuse you of deliberately feeding the most unhinged elements of our society the red meat of hate, and therefore of potentially instigating violence."

No offence to any republican voters but from an outsider who follows US news / politics'  isnt this the usual tact of any republican election.

The conservative party over here are the next closet thing we have and they always follow very similar lines of attack, forget policy and make the voters scared to vote for your opponent.

Vanna,

We are hearing people yell "kill him", "traitor", "treason" and other things from the people attendig rallies.  If you've never seen a racially motivated riot, you might not understand how this can easily get out of hand.  People do get out of hand and many have died.

You don't have to go that far back in our history to find race riots.  15 years?  Even though blacks were emancipated 150 years ago, you'd think that it had been only a decade sometimes.
