I'm sitting here thinking about the day I was at the hospital watching
my daughter give birth to our grand son. I've never seen a live birth
before, it didn't gross me out like a lot of other men. I even got to
cut the belly button cord! Anyways, I was sitting here thinking about
it, then suddenly a thought came over me! a thought of bitter/sweet.
I'm looking back on the first time I saw that innocent face. It
occurred to me there wasn't a shred of hate in this little soul! Hate
and negative don't exist in this little person! And further I ponder;
does hate exist in us from birth in some sort of dormant state? Is it
Satan? Makes me wonder if the human race would've been different if
Adam and Eve didn't get led into temptation. (If you believe in such a
thing) Sure, blame it on the parents; blame it on the person's peers.
Hey, while you're at it, blame it on society! Yes, all those things
play a hand in how a person may turn out, but I truly believe the scope
of the problem is far to great to try and comprehend. Because we have
been a troubled breed just about from the get go! So as this little
person grows up, He learns hate, prejudice and to many other things I
don't care to mention. New borns are some what like a computer; a
computer knows nothing until you teach it. But yet, a newborn has a
soul. Already corrupted?! I haven't a clue! That person is likely to
engage in the things he or she has learned from their surroundings. (As
you already know!) Their mind is like a sponge that's constantly
receiving programming from birth. Yes, we all have choices. We are all
guilty of making wrong choices. Some people's choices are worse than
others. But not one person is a saint! What kind of crap is my grandson
going to be exposed to? All the stuff each and every one of us has been
exposed to! I can only hope he makes good choices, and I'll go to the
very core of my soul to try and guide him! It really makes you wonder
about the mechanics and mechanisms of human behavior throughout a
person's lifetime. So there I am thinking about the course of a
person's life, from birth to death. Then I remembered reading some
one's post. She was saying that she once died and was brought back! She
said that every thing that was bothering her and her daily worries just
seem to melt away. You know, I wonder if she had any hate in her, and
if so, did that also melt away?! This brings me to my next point.
There's another place where hate and negative don't exist. ( I think
you know where I'm going with this) That's right, a cemetery! Like
being closed for the night, not a living soul on the grounds. Hate,
negative, prejudice or anything else doesn't exist there! (at least in
