How do you know you've gone as far as you can?

I can't think of a better thread title, maybe someone can help me out with this.

I've been on HRT for almost a year and am pretty happy with the results thus far. I'm pretty sure my breasts are still growing but I know at some point they'll stop and I'll have to figure out if I'm happy the way I am or if I think surgery is necessary. What I want to know is how to tell when things have stopped growing. Is there some sign I should be looking for or a general timeframe these things fit into?

Hmm As a GG, my tits began growing around age 11 and didn't stop till around 18. You might have a long way to go till yours are fully done. And a year or two might not be any real indication of how big thye'll end up.

That's a pretty long time period, which is encouraging :-) I guess it's just one more of those things that nobody really knows the answer to.

Hi- I have been on HRT for about two and a half years and my Endrocologist says it will take at least four years. Your age has alot to do with also. If you are young, the results will be faster than that of an older TG. Yor lifestyle also effects the process. Excersize, diet and if you smoke or drink to excess all have an effect. I hope that helps. Jolene.

I've been on hormones for about a year and 8 months and they stopped growing for about 6 months or so. About a month ago they started back up and are still at it, so it's true that it takes time. They'll stop for periods of time, then start back up again. I think if you just give it at least 2 years, 3 or more sounds better, then you'll have a good estimation on your full potential. At that point is when you should consider whether you are happy with them or if you want to opt for surgery.

You're right about them stopping and starting. Female puberty lasts at least 4 years and many GG's  don't lose the "baby fat" until they are in the late teens or even the early 20's. Anyway you look at it,it's a slow process. We're all anxious to get "there" as fast as we can. I also agree with SarahR. Don't consider surgery until at least 4 years or when your Doctor suggest's it.
